Inbox and Quieted protect attention, not access
Inbox contains messages allowed to reach your attention. Quieted contains messages NoRing confidently kept silent. Quieted messages do not create normal SMS notifications or add Inbox badge pressure, but they remain available for review and correction.
- Important service alerts, personal messages, and active conversations remain in Inbox.
- Uncertain messages remain in Inbox so NoRing fails open.
- Confident promotions, suspicious messages, blocked messages, and messages you quiet appear in Quieted.
One sender can contain both important and unwanted messages
A business can send a transaction alert you need and a promotion you do not. NoRing can keep the alert in Inbox and place the promotion in Quieted while preserving one unified conversation timeline.
Your messages remain usable
NoRing imports and indexes existing SMS/MMS history locally. You can browse conversations, search messages, compose and reply, manage drafts, and use contextual Sender Rules without uploading message content or identifiers for protection.
SMS/MMS scope and default-app requirement
SMS Protection is operational only while NoRing is your default SMS app. NoRing supports SMS and MMS. RCS is not currently supported.
